Homeopathic Arnica is Safe
It’s a parent’s job to keep their children healthy and happy, and from a parent’s perspective, safety is a top priority. What your child eats, how they play, and what they put on their bodies matters. In all cases, safety comes first. And safety is one of the major reasons arnica is one of our favorite first-aid remedies for kids and families.
Homeopathic arnica is gentle by nature of its formulation, and actually helps the body heal while relieving bruising, swelling, soreness, stiffness, and other pain-related symptoms. As a bonus, it does not contain aspirin, acetaminophen or ibuprofen.
It’s Easy to Use
In addition to its safety and efficacy, homeopathic arnica is easy to use. Oral arnica tablets will dissolve quickly under the tongue (many have a sweet taste). Topical arnica products—whether gel, cream, or ointment—can be applied directly to a bump or bruised area. So, if you or your little one experience a minor injury, arnica can be used right where it’s needed.
It Does Not Sting or Cause Discomfort
Children are often fearful of first aid because many products sting, look scary, or cause general discomfort. Topical arnica is not recommended for use on open wounds, but if applied to a bruise or goose egg, it will not burn or irritate the skin. Furthermore, its pain relieving properties will help your child quickly feel better.
Arnica is Available Over the Counter
Homeopathic arnica is available in most natural food stores, as well as a variety of drug stores and supermarkets. Arnica can also be purchased online, and some retailers offer homeopathic products designed just for kids.
One last tip: Before you purchase and use arnica for yourself or your child, be sure to check the product label and locate the appropriate age range, as some homeopathic products are only suitable for children aged 2 and older.
